OUR HEARTS GO OUT TO YOU

To that little girl, raped on a daily basis by a man old enough to be her father in the name marriage, our hearts go out to you.

To that young boy, forced to stay out of school and work to support the family, because his dad left and his mum can’t earn enough to feed the family, our hearts go out to you.

To that woman, abused, despised and rejected by the man who once vowed to love her till dooms day, our hearts go out to you.

To that man who works 15 hours a day, and comes back home to a contentious and ungrateful wife, our hearts go out to you.

To that lady, forced by circumstances to sell her body to feed her children; hating the job with all her heart, but not having another option, our hearts go out to you.

To that man hooked on porn and drugs, cursing the day he was born, trying with all his might to break loose, but always going back to the hated reality, our hearts go out to you.

To that minister of the gospel, preaching out his lungs every Sunday morning, but receiving very little or no support and encouragement from his congregation, our hearts go out to you.

To you walking the streets in search of answers; insulted, oppressed and misunderstood, yet none will get close enough to hear your story, our hearts go out to you.

To you, staring into the distance with a gruesome medical report in hand, wondering whether your Creator has forsaken you, our hearts go out to you.

I can’t wave a magic wand to take that thing away from you. I’ll never know exactly how you feel…but I pray, yes I pray that the waters will not drown you; that the fire will not scorch you; that a fourth person will appear in that fiery furnace, just for your sake. Amen.
