I cry
I cry for them
For those out there who weep alone
Alone in the dark
Alone because there’s no one to listen
And even when they get listened to
They are misunderstood, judged, labeled and classified.
Thank you for depriving me
You have taught me to seek and to find
Thank you for rejecting me
It has taught me to love me
Thank you for ostracizing me
It has taught me to like my own company
Thank you for victimizing me
It has taught me to fight back like a lioness
Thank you for despising me
It has put in me the thirst for achievement
Thank you for silencing me
I have become a voice for the voiceless
Thank you for the wounds you inflicted in me
I have become a healer of wounded souls; and I love it.
What you meant for evil
The Lord has turned for my good.
Thank you.
This is the greatest test of love for God;
when it seems like He’s hidden His face from you or turned His back…
when you feel like your world is falling apart, yet you choose to keep loving Him.
when you live on medication, yet you sing praises to Him…
when you even take your pills to church because you
gonna be needing them during worship service; that is what it means to love Jesus.
Never downgrade yourself in order to be accepted in lower circles,
Keep soaring.
Those who need you will upgrade themselves to your level
Then they will join your club.
Remember, many look up to you for inspiration and leadership.
Do not disappoint them because you want to please people who have refused to grow up.
You may stoop down to bring them up,
But never stoop too low as to become one of them.
The world needs the big you, the courageous you, the brave you.
Stoop to conquer.
Are you living in captivity? Are you a captive to drugs, poverty, depression, disease…Do you feel like God has given up on you?
Does it seem like no deliverance is forth coming because you have considered and examined all the possibilities and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel?
Guess what? You’ve not considered all the possibilities yet. Someone is holding that trump card you need. I’ll tell you a story.
Israel is in captivity in Babylon. There seems to be no hope for them because God Himself has sent them away from the Promise Land.
Will they ever return home some day? Is there any hope of ever worshiping again from the Holy Temple?
All this while, God’s plan is in progress.
At the appointed time God stirs up the heart of a heathen king who then “orders” that the captives be released so they can go rebuild the temple and again offer up sacrifices to the God of heaven. Ezra the scribe and his brethren get to work as if in a dream.
So stop asking yourself how it’s going to happen. The ways of God are truly mysterious. You never can tell where the next miracle is coming from.
Only believe and refuse to quit.
No matter how hard it gets,
No matter how hard the decision,
No matter what you must give up,
No matter how much you need to take up,
If it’s worth it, then do it.
Sometimes the best things are waiting
On the other side of the turbulent river.
Life is made of seasons. Some seasons require that we let go while other seasons need a holding on.
If you hold on when you are supposed to let go, you are in trouble; and if you let go when you are expected to keep holding on, you are in as much trouble.
Now you ask me, when do I know it’s time to hold on or to let go? Good question.
For this we need discernment. Ask of God and He will give you of this spirit abundantly and free of charge.
In addition to this we need wisdom; not the wisdom of this world that comes to nothing but divine wisdom that leads to sure victory. “Is it wise for me to hold on or to let go in this situation?”
Furthermore you need to know your bigger purpose in life. “Does letting go, or holding on, fit into the bigger purpose, vision, plan for my life?”
For all of these to work together for your good you need faith, the kind of unshakable faith that defies all odds. You must have self-confidence and the right kind of self-esteem so that you don’t get tossed from one opinion to another by public opinion.
There will be times in your life wherein the whole world (including your spouse, father, pastor, child etc) is against you. At the same time, the Spirit of God, and your deepest conviction are saying the contrary. What will you do in this case? Give in to the pressure?
There is a time to hold on and a time to let go. May you never hold on to dry branches, and may you never let go of God-given opportunities.
Discern, be wise, be purposeful, then take a stand and be ready to defend it with your faith.
To hold on or to let go?
We all carry gold within.
We all are full of great treasure inside
But it is all covered in dross, in rust and dust
And when we finally discover what we carry within
We will not rest until we bring it out
We will willingly bear the refiner’s fire
For we know what beauty will show and glow
Once the refiner’s job is done.
I need your heart more than your purse.
I need your presence more than you check.
I need your love more than your money.
Did you ever find yourself in a situation where you couldn’t even trust yourself let alone another person?
Did you ever find yourself in a situation where God’s WORD became your sole friend, fan and fortifier, yet you didn’t even know if it’s God speaking?
Have you ever had so many divergent views on the same issue that you became stark raving confused?
I’ve been there. Below is a prayer I wrote to God some time ago. You may find some aspects of it very similar to what you have experienced at some time in your own walk with God.
Permit me to be a little transparent here. Be edified as you read.
Lord, from day one I have prayed to you asking that if this thing is not from you then let it end and let us part ways. I have told you to take it away from me if it is not your will for me.
The more I prayed the more it is growing. So who is answering me now, You, my emotions or the devil?
Will you give me a stone if I ask for bread? A snake if I ask for fish? A scorpion if I ask for an egg?
Will you let grow that which is supposed to die?
Lord, how else am I supposed to pray? Please Daddy, if this is a trial, a test, let me pass it now for good.
Why must I suffer so much? Daddy, you see my heart. You know I love you and will willingly follow your leading when I’m sure it is you leading.
Why the divergent views Lord? Who is right and who is wrong? Are my emotions tricking me? Then help me out Lord.
Will satan fight against satan? If this relationship is from satan, then why is satan fighting it also?
Lord Jesus did you not say that satan won’t fight himself or he’ll fail?
Lord, is this your character? That I ask of you to take it away if it’s not from you and you rather make it grow the more? Will you do that to me Daddy? Why will you do that?
Do you take pleasure in afflicting your dear daughter? Will you also hide the truth from me?
If you do not tell me the truth, who will?
Lord, if I’m being deceived, show it to me.
If I’m living in self-deception show it to me.
If the devil is tricking me show it to me.
If you are talking and I’m not getting you show it to me.
For the sake of your Name and Kingdom tell me the truth Lord.
Happiness is not the absence of trouble
but the ability to smile in spite of it all
because we know God is in control
and the out come will always be glorious
for those who trust in Him shall not be put to shame.
